Hello Wild Ones, and welcome to all new folks here, that have joined recently! It is wonderful to have you all here, I’m so grateful!
Incase you haven’t met me yet - I’m Jo, I live on the coast in Northumberland, UK, and I’m a seasoned (and seasonal) forager. I’m also a herbalist, gardener, artist, a mother and a spiritual being, and I weave all these things into Wild Revival.
Yesterday I led my monthly nature connection group Wild Hygge in my town, and had a beautiful afternoon with the women who came. We crafted Spring talismans, chatted about the signs of Spring from the plant world and shared our stories of our favourite Spring flowers and how we’ve been experiencing this seasonal shift.

If you’d like to join me at Wild Hygge, you’d be very welcome! I’m waiting to confirm the date of April’s (because of Easter hols!) and will let you know in my monthly newsletter in a couple of weeks. It usually falls on the 3rd Sunday of the month, and you can book my emailing or messaging me.
We also drank foraged fresh Nettle tea with Ginger and Rosemary, which I encourage you to try at home! The Nettles are coming up now in the North, and if you don’t have them yet, you will soon! I love the ‘first flush’ of green Nettle growth for teas and soups; Nettle is full of minerals and nourishes our system. Here’s my recipe:
Here you can see me picking the Nettle tops - the first 6 leaves or so. As I pick I notice the ones that have a bit of cobweb in their centres and avoid those as they are being used as somebody’s home! I pick carefully from clean areas (like the garden here) and pop them straight in my teapot, but when I pick them from the wild, I rinse them first.
Of course you can use gloves and/or scissors if you aren’t practiced like me!
Those of you in the Southern Hemisphere - you might enjoy this post about foraging Autumn berries (and it has a free recipe in too!) and you can find more in my Archive! How are you feeling about the seasonal shift where you live? Are you ready to slow down? Are you soaking up the season?
And now to your gift!
As a thankyou for being here, supporting my work and listening, here is the Signs of Spring sheet that I created for my Wild Hygge group yesterday, with an option below the picture to download it to your device. Happy noticing!

I would love to hear what Signs of Spring you have been noticing around you this week! Join me in the comments below to chat!
See you outside!

I’ve started again to sell my intuitively wildcrafted herbal medicines! You can have a look at my Etsy shop, which I am planning to update very soon with: foraged bitters, massage oil, and Rose glycerite.
I've noticed that the crocuses came and went. Blossom on trees has started. Louder birdsong.
Hearing Chiffchaff singing.
